▶ Supports in-house LLMs and open-source models for air-gapped environments, avoiding lock-in to a specific AI model
▶ Version 2.0 planned for the first half of next year, with continued AI enhancements such as defect prediction
Plateer (CEO Lee Sang-hoon) announced on October 26 the official launch of XGEN TMS (XGEN Test Management System), a test management solution that can be used in air-gapped environments. Connected to Plateer's agentic AI platform XGEN, XGEN TMS can use AI agents and workflows, and customers can also choose other AI engines such as in-house LLMs or open-source models. AI helps generate test cases and recommends regression test scope, and the entire quality process, from requirements management to test design, results management, and defect tracking, is managed in a single system.
AI tools have accelerated software development, but testing and quality verification often remain manual, in spreadsheets, creating bottlenecks. In advanced manufacturing such as automotive, demand for verification history and evidence for audits is growing. Finance and the public sector also urgently need better testing, but air-gapped networks make it difficult to adopt external AI services.
The market is growing with this demand. According to Mordor Intelligence, the global software testing market is expected to nearly double from USD 54.4 billion in 2026 to USD 99.9 billion in 2031. MarketsandMarkets projects that the AI-based test automation market will grow from USD 8.8 billion in 2025 to USD 36.0 billion in 2032, at a compound annual growth rate of 22.3%.
XGEN TMS brings the entire process, from requirements management to test design, execution, and defect resolution, into a single platform. Its traceability matrix shows the full quality verification process at a glance, so teams can trace how each requirement was tested and resolved.
In practice, when a team registers development requirements, AI analyzes them and automatically generates the necessary test cases. When part of the system changes, it identifies the affected functions and recommends the scope of regression testing, so teams do not have to re-verify the entire system each time.
Companies can connect the AI engine of their choice, including in-house LLMs, open-source models, and commercial APIs, and apply AI-based test management in air-gapped environments without sending data outside. Even if the AI engine changes, quality assets such as test cases and traceability history remain in TMS, protecting the investment when network environments or model policies change. Connected to XGEN, teams can build test procedures with AI agents and workflow automation, and use them from XGEN touchpoints such as chatbots and developer coding tools (VS Code).
XGEN TMS works with existing development and test tools such as Atlassian Jira and Tricentis Tosca, and can manage both manual test results and execution results from Tosca. It also supports single sign-on (SSO), audit logs, traceability reports, and dashboards for enterprise security and operations.
Plateer has been a Tricentis partner in Korea since 2019, supplying test automation solutions to companies including Samsung Electronics, LG Uplus, and major insurers. With the launch of XGEN TMS, Plateer will accelerate its AI-based quality management business, focusing on existing Tricentis customers and financial, manufacturing, and public-sector companies considering test automation.
Jang Jae-woong, Head of Plateer's IDT Division, said, “We developed XGEN TMS because we saw the need for a test management system that applies AI to quality work without being tied to a specific AI model or execution tool. We expect XGEN TMS to help companies manage software quality systematically, regardless of their network constraints.”
The newly released XGEN TMS is version 1.0, and Plateer plans to release version 2.0 in the first half of next year. Version 2.0 will add web and mobile app test automation integration, AI defect prediction, duplicate defect filtering, and automatic classification of test failure causes.
