PLATEER (CEO Sang-Hoon Lee), a specialist in AI and digital transformation (DX) solutions, announced its first-half 2025 earnings on the 14th through an official filing.
On a consolidated basis, first-half revenue reached KRW 17.61 billion, up 17.2% year-on-year. Although operating losses continued at KRW 3.74 billion, revenues in major business segments expanded significantly, raising expectations for a turnaround in the second half.
The AI CX and digital transformation businesses, which had already posted record-high quarterly results in Q1, also achieved record half-year revenues. Meanwhile, the AI commerce business showed strong momentum in Q2 with sales climbing more than 48% quarter-on-quarter, signaling the beginning of a solid growth phase.
In particular, PLATEER’s AI commerce business benefited from over KRW 20 billion in new orders secured in Q1, which began to translate into revenue in Q2. Sales in this segment grew 48% quarter-on-quarter. Key projects with KT Alpha, SK Rent-a-Car, and Handsome progressed smoothly, supporting further growth. Additionally, the company’s AI commerce solution ‘X2BEE’ won new contracts in Q2, including Osstem Implant’s DenAllMall upgrade and global dental e-commerce expansion project, which will extend X2BEE’s reach across 37 countries worldwide. With government initiatives such as supplementary budgets and consumer coupon programs slated for the second half to boost private consumption, the industry anticipates increased platform investment demand from commerce companies. If realized, this trend is expected to drive additional new platform orders for PLATEER’s AI commerce business, accelerating the pace of performance recovery.
The digital transformation business recorded first-half revenue of KRW 4.25 billion, up 17.7% from a year earlier, setting another record half-year result following the previous record in H2 2024. This growth was driven by major enterprise projects, including Musinsa’s collaboration solutions, Hyundai Mobis’ CI/CD solutions, and configuration management solutions for KT Alpha and Krafton. Furthermore, ‘Matilda’, the ITSM solution launched in Q2, is undergoing discussions for deployment in public institutions. Expected orders and revenue from Q3 are anticipated to enhance profitability and solidify it as a new growth driver.
The AI CX business also continued steady growth. Q2 revenue reached KRW 800 million, up 11.1% from the record Q1 result, marking record quarterly revenue for two consecutive periods. New offerings launched in Q2 ‘genser’, a generative AI search engine, and ‘gelatto’, a generative AI chatbot—have successfully completed POCs with major domestic retailers, pharmaceutical firms, and automotive companies. These are expected to generate meaningful revenues starting from Q3.
CEO Sang-Hoon Lee of PLATEER stated: "In the first half, revenue recognition from new contracts in our core AI commerce business provided a strong foundation for a full-fledged turnaround. While the broader B2B enterprise software market recovery has yet to materialize, it was a meaningful half-year in which we laid the groundwork for renewed growth, centered on our AI solutions."
He added, "We expect 2025 to be a year of building a solid profit base driven by the commercial performance of our AI solutions."
