PLATEER–KT Consortium Wins Jeju Bank ‘GenAI Platform’ Project

Plateer (CEO Lee Sang-hoon) announced on March 4 that it has won Jeju Bank's GenAI platform project as part of a consortium with KT, and will supply its agentic AI platform XGEN. Following the launch of Lotte Home Shopping's agentic AI service, the project shows Plateer's AI technology expanding from retail into finance.

Jeju Bank plans to use the platform to accelerate its transition to a digital bank, and to introduce a ‘one agent per department’ model across the bank once the platform is built. The bank set three directions for the platform: an AI work environment that employees can easily use, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centric intelligent financial services.

XGEN was recognized as an enterprise-grade AI platform that meets the demanding requirements of financial institutions. It supports on-premise environments where internal data does not leave the company, network separation, and fine-grained access control policies that provide the level of security the financial sector requires. Its no-code Visual Canvas Editor also lets non-developers build and operate agents for banking tasks with drag and drop.

XGEN is expected to serve as an AI agent platform that improves bankers' everyday productivity, well beyond a simple chatbot. Jeju Bank plans to apply AI step by step across core work, including credit review report support, automation of internal control and continuous monitoring, and KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) analysis.

We are expanding XGEN-based PoCs in finance as well as manufacturing, energy, pharmaceuticals, and defense.” He added, “Companies now need agentic AI infrastructure that works at the level of real tasks, not just LLM adoption. We will strengthen our vertical AI strategy for each industry's regulations and processes.”

Through its collaboration with KT, Plateer is accelerating XGEN's vertical expansion. The company is standardizing XGEN-based agent templates in its strongest industries, such as retail and e-commerce, and adapting them quickly for highly regulated industries such as finance, manufacturing, and the public sector.
