AI·DX solution specialist PLATEER (CEO Sanghoon Lee, 367000) announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025 through a disclosure on the 15th.
Revenue for Q1 reached KRW 7.81 billion, up 0.7% year-on-year and 11.7% quarter-on-quarter. While the operating loss continued at KRW 1.96 billion, the recovery trend in each business division has raised expectations for a performance rebound.
The AI CX and digital transformation businesses each recorded their highest-ever quarterly results, while the AI commerce business also saw revenue increase by more than 18% quarter-on-quarter, continuing its rebound momentum.
In the first quarter of 2025, the AI commerce business recorded KRW 21.3 billion in new orders, the highest since Q1 of 2022 (KRW 21.5 billion). This exceeds the annual order volumes of 2023 (KRW 17.8 billion) and 2024 (KRW 18.5 billion), significantly heightening expectations for future revenue recognition and profitability improvement. Notably, the expansion of contracts with new large clients such as KT Alpha and SK Rent-a-Car has rapidly increased the volume of orders.
Additionally, PLATEER received an additional order for a platform advancement project from its existing client, Handsome. Handsome was the first adopter of PLATEER’s enterprise-level e-commerce solution, X2BEE, and following the successful execution of the initial project, has awarded this follow-up advancement contract. This is being recognized as evidence of PLATEER’s technological capabilities and client trust. Furthermore, active discussions are underway regarding new projects based on X2BEE, further raising expectations for overall performance improvement this year.
The digital transformation business posted Q1 revenue of KRW 2.32 billion, up 18.7% from the same period last year, once again setting a new quarterly record following Q4 2024. This success was driven by major projects with large corporations, such as SK Telecom’s DevOps solution, Samsung Electronics' IT platform development solution, and Exem's testing solution. In addition, the full-scale supply of the ITSM solution “Matilda,” launched last month, is expanding revenue and increasing expectations for improved profitability.
The AI CX business also continued its steady growth trend. Q1 revenue increased 18.6% year-on-year to KRW 720 million, marking the highest-ever quarterly revenue. The AI personalized marketing solution "groobee" achieved record-high subscription revenue by securing additional key brand clients in the fashion and skincare industries. Furthermore, the LLM-based generative search engine "genser," introduced earlier this year, has begun full commercialization, increasing expectations for future revenue growth.
Sanghoon Lee, CEO of PLATEER, stated, “In the first quarter, we laid the foundation for a full-scale performance rebound as new orders in our core AI commerce division expanded significantly.” He added, “As we showcased our AI-based solution competitiveness externally at the ‘World IT Show 2025’ held in April, we plan to accelerate revenue growth this year centered on e-commerce platform development and our AI and digital transformation solutions.” He concluded, “Through this, we expect 2025 to be a year in which we firmly establish a foundation for sustainable growth.”
